About

Ground Zero was founded in 2019 by Carina Reingold. Carina fell in love with obstacle course racing in 2015 and quickly built herself up to be a very competitive athlete. She represented SA at the 2016 World OCR Champs in Canada as well as the Spartan World Champs in 2017. She also competed in Spain and the Netherlands.

After her own competitive career ended in OCR due to injuries, she started coaching at a Obstacle training facility in the south of Johannesburg. This inspired her to start her own outdoor training facility at the beautiful Rietvlei Zoo Farm.

Ground Zero is a unique and prestine outdoor training facility located on beautiful running and mountain biking trails. It often hosts team building events, birthday parties and shoots.

It’s the ideal playground for young and old. From Beginner to advanced athlete will get a thrill out of the obstacles and training we have to offer.

However we are known as a Obstacle training facility, we also have many other activities to offer.

We Offer More

We welcome everyone. From corporates to school groups. Our team building normally consists of a mini Adventure race as well as a Intro to Obstacle training, rounded off with a mini obstacle course race. We are however flexible in doing different activities to suit the clients requirements. Rates depend on the number of people attending.
